!!! Sunday Mornings – have never felt so good !!!

Meet at 11 am for the off.

Well, the switch over has now officially occurred. We’re locked into the Sunday mornings for the rest of 2025 and the early part of 2026.

Sunday has a 90% chance of rain, but only from 12 noon onwards… So – get round the trail and back to the pub within the hour, and you might – just might – have a dry one! Well, until the down downs of course.

There’s a famous saying in Chackmore: “When it rains, you get wet. When you drink, you get drunk. When you drink in the rain – you’re holding your glass the wrong way up.”

Fun facts and falses about Chackmore (well, one fact):

The (one) fun fact about Chackmore is that in 1985, it hosted the “Honda and Hound” charity hunt, a unique event where participants pursued “pantomime foxes” in a fundraiser for children’s charities, with an ITV cameraman even filming the proceedings.

Fun facts and falses about The Queens Head:

Although the pub dates back to the 17th Century, they had never heard of BH3 before the 18th Century. The pub was completely renovated in 2023, which took five years, following a BH3 event which went wrong. The pub is dog friendly. The pub is a pub. The pub is in the village. The pub serves drinks, some of which are cask ales, wines, spirits and soft drinks.

The pub is card only.

This means that when it was renovated in 2023, planning consent was based on a slightly odd material for structural integrity, or (and this is more likely) they don’t like to keep coins and notes on premises in cardboard boxes overnight, and insist that all transactions (purchases of stuff) are done using a payment card.

And so to our Hare – BH3’s very own Sh*tSticks.

He’s laid our first Sunday trail in the back half of 2025. He’s a pathfinder, a trail blazer, a leading light, a faithful, a celebrity master chef, a pin up star for one man and his dog Solo! And that’s all before breakfast.

Sh*tSticks – we thank you, we salute you, we look forward to your trail. We chase to beat the rain and to seek out your trail. To find the falses, to ‘search it out’ from the checks and to catch a fish or two with a fish hook.

Bring on the Sundays! “That’s why I’m easy(ily led)… am easy(ily led) like a Sunday morning…”
