The Mason’s Arms, 5 Park Road, North Leigh, Witney, OX29 6RZ
Meet at 11am (make sure it is the right 11am) for the off!
This week, Dingaling and Bondage are in the driving seat, laying our trail of mud, sweat and sweet tears of joy as we roll in across the beautiful Oxford countryside. We thank you both most kindly, for your trail and dedication.
The pub is listed in the CAMRA guide and boasts to be sustained by ‘wet sales’ only. I am assuming this can be translated to: It sells drinks only. But perhaps ‘Wet Sales’ is more down with the CAMRA kids. All I know is – it looks like it’s a cracking pub, selling one or two beers (Butcombe – I think) and it looks lovely and cosy. It’s dog friendly, has a car park and was once linked to a Mason who owned a large part of the land thereabouts.
Let’s hope he doesn’t mind a trail or two going through t’fields and back o’ye.
The clocks are having a lie in this Sunday, so don’t forget to join them! Alternatively, you’re welcome to be an hour early, get reported to the landlord for suspicious lurking about activities or even worse – reported to our RAs for limbering up in the car park. You have been warned…
