The Queen’s Head, Main Street, Chackmore, Buckingham, MK18 5JF
Meet at 11am for the off!
Parking – not the best in Chackmore – the pub recommend using the sort of car park that is at the end of the village as you turn into Chackmore from Stowe Avenue. We should be able to fit a few cars in here – and also along the Main Street. Just park as best you can and be considerate please.
The Queen’s Head in Chackmore is ready and rearing to go… Are you?
The pub has recently (well, last 12-24 months) been renovated and re-opened. It is a lovely local pub, with great ales. It has a patio and is dog friendly. Sadly, no food on a Sunday, but if you want to head on for food afterwards, there are plenty of options in Buckingham.
Easily LED is your hare this week. Please go easy on him, for he has had had a few scrapes… He fell off his bicycle and slid not too graciously along the tarmac (the bike was ok). He’s had not one tooth filling, but a tooth filling and then 2 days later closely followed by the first part of a root canal, which got somewhat sidelined due to an emergency at the practice. He’s had man flu (seriously)… He’s been to Nottingham and back to see his Dad, prior to laying the trail… And – so all in all – he’s been on a bit of a journey to get to Sunday.
But, a dedicated hasher, is a dedicated hare…so I’m told, and keen to lay the trail – no matter what obstacles or in their way! And lay the trail he has…(or rather will have by Sunday at 11am.)
There will be mud…
There will be castles, monuments, wet grass, sheep, possibly cows and perhaps even a field or two.
There may be trouble ahead… but while there’s moonlight and music and love and romance – let’s face the music and dance…
There is loads of shiggy ahead… but while there’s flour dobs, On-calls, On-Ins and Timy Taylors flowing – let’s face the RAs and hash!
WHAT’S NOT TO LIKE?
