Meet at 11 am Sunday for the off.

This Sunday 12th Oct is your time to join BH3 in the beautiful art of chasing flour.

Our hare this week, can be seen entering the pub to begin the process of laying the trail and sampling the fine ales on offer. Thorough research and sampling, to ensure the pub, the beer, the food and the trails are all up to scratch. Thank you for the dedication, your hard work and due diligence to ensure we have another cracking trail and location for BH3. Whoop whoop!!!

Well, that’s how it started… so they say…

Every hare needs a ‘research companion’ and I’m not just talking about the 4-legged kind, although squibble did put in a good effort here as well… No, I’m talking about our Hares side-kick…Dogloss.

See picture for reference.

Now, there’s a couple of good things to note from this picture.

1 – We’ve got Timmy Taylors – Landlord, Boltmaker and Black Sheep on draft

and

2 – Our Hare and Hare’s assistant are absolutely mad! We’re in for a muddy slopes, hills and country jumps! Yay! So – potentially very wet, muddy, boggy and the question…

‘have you ever tried a river crossing on a trail before?’. comes to mind (just say’in)

Now here’s where the fun starts…

Clipperty Cloggs decided to play sorcerer’s apprentice, and was about to start laying the trail when…the magic of AI decided it would help with confusion and general madness if there were two Hares laying flour and getting the flour ready… Oh dear…

I don’t think Chat GPT has ever been barred from a pub, but it’s probably not welcome back in Duns Tew for a while. In the end, a slightly more manageable level of disorder was restored – and I’ll live with seeing double of the beer.

Let’s hope there is as much flour on the trail – to help guide us round. Does flour float on water? mmm…

What’s not to like?
