The Bure Farm, 9 Barberry Place, Bure Park, Bicester, Oxfordshire, OX26 3HA

Meet at 11am for the off.

For one day only, we have Pheasant Plucker and Praying Mantis putting flour down in our home town of Bicester. Some say this is a typical Friday night out for these two, but it’s a rare thing to have their journey mapped out in flour. Even rarer to have a group of hashers follow it.

So to our two Hares – we say a big thank you. Thanks for laying the trail and forming a circular route of sorts to and from the Bure Farm, at Bure Park in Bicester. I don’t recall this winning combo of hares having set out together before, but given my memory works best on what was my last chocolate bar, or slice of cake, I am not claiming any degree of accuracy. However, an accurate trail, precisely laid, perfectly marked, distance calibrated and health and safety checks complete – I can confirm with much more confidence 😉 (in other words – know where you are at all times – and expect no help).

I’m not sure, but suspect that once upon a time, Bure Farm may have had some sort of connection or historical link back to an actual farm. But it could just be in the title. Now, it is part of the Marston’s chain and known for its rotisserie chicken. So that’s good to know. Child friendly and dog friendly, with off-street parking. A modern pub for a modern Sunday in April. Hoorah!

As you can gather, I’m not sure on much of what to expect on Sunday, except to say – that it will be loads of fun, lots of flour, possibly drinking some beer, and most definitely getting out and about. Come friends, come locals, come one and all… Forget about the 26.2 in London – Bure Farm is where the actions at – Bure Farm is the place to be this Sunday morning – well, that and the surrounding area within a radius of say 4-5 miles.

Picture the scene – this could be you! You too can share in the glory – the triumph, the tribulations, the tales and the rotisserie chicken! Wow-wow-wee-woW! On-On!
