Well here we go again… another Sunday… another pub… another Hare… another scattering of flour along the streets and trails of our green and pleasant land.
You know you want this – more than an Egg Nogg – more than a Snowball – more than a trip to Bicester Village (not a village) – more than a self-service check out queue in Tesco (or any other supermarket).
This is your last pre-Christmas Day hash fix! Some people fret about shopping days before Christmas. Some fret about getting in line for the bargains of a boxing day sale. Some of you may even be looking forward to a family road trip and the ‘big getaway’. Others may be wondering how they will cope without work, emails, Co-Pilot training or MS Teams calls.
But here, in the arms of our fellow hashers of BH3, I hope you are mostly concerned about fitting in these oh-so magical ‘count down’ hashes to see you through to the end of 2024.

Buckingham is as ready as ever for a Hash to take to its streets. They have cleaned up the town a little since we last visited. They’ve put down some new tarmac near the Buckingham Fort, put up a fancy new sign for the ‘Villiers Ballroom’ and I think (according the rest of the family) added at least 3 new nail bars to the already crowded nail bar capital of the world.
Sadly, there has been no change to limited parking in the area of The Mitre. Nail bars come first ok! So, apply all your skills and cunning car parking wizardry to find a suitable spot.
Bus Stripper will have us routing out a nail biting trail (thank you for laying the flour – risking the wrath of the Buckingham What Matters Facebook group) and Thrifty and Maraschino for giving up their places in the Ballroom and Nail bars of Buckingham to monitor the proceedings and mishaps out and about.
