Monday 5th August, Trail #2586. The hash trail this week starts and ends from:

The Pheasant, 39 Windmill St, Brill, Aylesbury, HP18 9TG.

Meet for a 7.00pm off with Maraschino as your hare.

It’s week two of the Olympics Hash series…and the medals, split decisions and new records are all in full swing.

Maraschino, as our intrepid Hare, is very familiar with this week’s trail domain. We are indeed extremely honoured to be in the midst of such a star studied arena.

Who knew! Brill is not only famous for its iconic windmill – think of Windy Miller at Colley’s Mill in the children’s TV series ‘Camberwick Green’ and you are spot on! Besides this, Brill is famed for being the home of Dr Who too.

It get’s better…  our very own Maraschino has also been linked to ‘show biz’ with his very own filming of the hit TV show ‘Navigation’ with Jeremy Irons. The link between navigation, trails, false trails and a BH3 hash is by no means a coincidence.

Can it get any better? Well, yes. Brill is home to some fab maltings stage magic too.  The BH3 has been a fan of the Brewery in Brill and the Pheasant Pub is also a great venue for sampling such golden nectar as ever there was.

Who will be our new Olympic champions this week, and who will be our photo finish replays? If only we had AI to help with those split decisions.  Just as well we continue to have the best RAs in the business to help make those critical and historic decisions.

Let’s also hope that Facebook has been kind to this Hon Sec, and graciously allowed me to post this post.  Otherwise, we will revert to carrier pigeon!  You have been warned…
