Monday 29th July, Trail #2585. The hash trail this week starts and ends from:

The Barley Mow, Somerton Road, Upper Heyford, Bicester, OX25 5LB.

Meet for a 7.00pm off with Dormie as your hare.

It looks to set to be a hot one, so don’t forget to pop your r*n kit in the freezer for an hour before you step out for our evening’s entertainment. Make sure you put it back on though…

The Pub

The Barley Mow is our Admiral Tavern pub this week, serving up a cask ales and hot food. It has a beer garden and canal moorings – just in case you fancy rocking up in ye olde canal boatie.

The Village

Home to a once impressive RAF base (Bomber base) and then USAF, until it closed down in 1994. It did, at one point, have the second largest runway in Europe. Since then, it has now become famous for storing new cars (luxury Range Rovers and Jaguars) prior to taking delivery.

I think they could do with a dash of flour or two…

The village and airfield has also been used as the backdrop for some pretty famous films:

World War Z – just like a typical hash run really.

Wonder Woman – this could be any number of our hashers

Octopussy – again – just all part of the typical hash scene 😊.

The Hare

Dormie – the legend… stepping out to lay our trail.  He could just as easily be the next James Bond in Octopussy 2.  [you didn’t hear it from me…] What else can be said?  There will be a trail.  There will be falses… there will be blood, sweat and tears…  and that’s just from the hash circle.

The RAs

Thrifty and Maraschino have come back from their Olympic duties in Paris, to be on hand to ‘adjudicate’ the proceedings and determine who our Olympic champions will be serving up (shaken – but not stirred) our Bronze, Silver and Gold medals of sorts.

WHAT’S NOT TO LIKE?
