Monday 22 July, Trail # 2584. Clippety Clogs & Dogloss are you hares at the Abingdon Arms, High Street
Beckley, Oxfordshire OX3 9UU. Meet for a 7 pm start.
So, its another week of sun, sea and sand for your absent HonSec; that means another posting from your (now defunct) previous Hon Sec.
Relying on an abundance of wit and sharp insight, Thrifty will now entice you into swelling the coffers of one of our part time hashers who is one of the investors of this Community Pub. Welcome to Lockjawland!
Lean back and open wide as our two gallant hares cure that down in the mouth feeling by getting their teeth into a spectacular trail for us all to enjoy. Brace yourselves for a trail which might take you over canal bridges and which a few might find unpalatably difficult to traverse. There will be trees, and definitely a few roots to navigate, maybe those with dogs or canine friends might find it easier. Poor old Clippety will not be front running, so we’ll have to leave it to others to claim the cup tonight, or maybe a blue plaque might be more appropriate. (You do realise I’m just filling in time with this amalgam of dental terminology.)
Anyway, its a great venue with some fab countryside for us all to enjoy; then afterwards at this real gem of a pub where we can all enjoy the company of friends. You know it will be a great evening.
So, twist the arms (gently) of your friends, and remember that we have some great OH3 cousins who might care to join us on this splendid evening; no need for a list – you know who you are. After all, we are on their doorstep.
So, there you have it; what’s not to like?
Tartar for now.
