7Sunday 28th January 2024. Your hare is Thrifty Gaffer. Meet at the WHITE HOUSE, 1 Grove Road, Bladon, OX20 1RQ for an 11.00 off. Trail #

NOTE PLEASE – THIS IS A COMMUNITY PUB WITH LIMITED PARKING SO PLEASE ALLOW SOME SPACES FOR LOCAL DINERS TO PARK TO SUPPORT THE PUB’S KITCHEN.

It seemed a little unfair that our new hashers – Adriaan (Too Nice) and Jaqui – were travelling the longer distances from W Oxfordshire to join us. A whisper in my ear from Dormie – the judge of all things fair 🤔 – that we should have a trail closer to them, and so it comes to pass.

The down side is, of course, that the flour from the last trail will have disappeared, so I have had to invest in at least one bag of flour to keep you all happy. Dingaling has already said he knows where the trail is going, so I advise you all to listen out for his cries of “I know where we are going” – and then go the other way.

I’ll say no more about the trail ‘cos there are some great possibilities; you’ll just have to wait until Sunday.

But what I can tell you is that the pub is a gem; it does what it says on the tin – Community Pub. After doing my recce last week, I sat in the pub with a great pint of Adnams and was unbelievably pleased to see families coming in to use the facilities; a real mixture of clientele. AND as I have mentioned, good beer. 🍺

They do offer a limited menu if anyone wants to eat after the trail; I enclose the snacks menu although roast meals will be available Sunday. Could you please let me know/indicate if you will be wanting anything to eat.

There you have it. I’m hoping we will be joined by Sir Bollard (Bob Green) as well as any of our Oxford Cousins who joined us last week. It was fun then, why not this week?

What’s not to like?
