Today 9th November is Noddy’s birthday, I posted a greeting on Facebook to him earlier, wishing him a happy birthday.
Soon after I received a friend request from his lovely daughter Anneliese aka ‘Bumpy’, when I accepted it I found out that Noddy had died earlier this year. He was suffering from cancer of the kidney which eventually moved to his brain.
For those of you who didn’t know him, you are indeed the unlucky ones, he was a great character and gifted chocolatier. I recall fondly when he attended a Hash Christmas do dressed immaculately as ‘Joker’ complete with a hand made gold leaf chocolate staff. Our thoughts go out to Bumpy in the hope she grows into a super human being just like her dad.
